Yay Moody is an Oakland, California born creator, artist, live-streamer, and storyteller.

 

Born in Oakland and raised within Oakland and Hayward, he grew up moving through different neighborhoods and environments. That constant change and exposure shaped how he views the world, making him adaptable, resilient, and purpose-driven. It also became the foundation for how he tells stories today.

 

He began his creative journey in 2021 through music, creating hip-hop and R&B records and collaborating with notable artists along the way. Music became a form of self-expression and motivation. A way to process life and turn real experiences into something people could connect with.

 

As his creativity grew, so did the outlets. Yay Moody moved into visual storytelling through short film, and later into live-streaming, creating spaces for real-time connection with his community. He has written and acted in a short film, using cinematography to explore themes of adversity, identity, and resilience.
